Excavated in the 1960s, this site demonstrates what early life was like in the region in the 3rd. millennium BC and the Um An-Nar period (2500-2000BC). It is believed that people settled there to mine copper in the nearby mountains and the tombs found there contain an estimated 600 people of all ages buried inside. The largest tomb called "Hili Grand Tomb", is 2.5 meters high and 8 meters wide.
